Who's Your Father (October 2012)

I consider myself very fortunate that on making my directorial debut with The Other Theatre Company, that I am also directing a completely new play by a local playwright.

The play is set in a retirement home for actors, which is a concept that I have explored with various theatrical friends for our future old age - often with great hilarity.

Sylvie Darling, the owner of the retirement home, runs a wonderfully comfortable house for her wacky and often irritating fellow actors. Frobisher Williams, a well-known theatrical actor and Elliot Hart, a fairly successful film actor, are constantly sparring and scoring points against each other. Phoebe Ingrams, who is turn crazy, forgetful and funny, causes mayhem to all and indeed anyone who tries to have an intelligent conversation with her.

The scene is then set for a variety of unexpected events which mainly involve the sudden arrival of.... 007!

I do hope that you all enjoy this delightful new play as much as I have enjoyed directing it.
